Working with pride on a farmland has been in the Spencer Family since 1838. Steve and Anita Spencer have continued to honor tradition by working on their farm with their two children in Sheridan, Indiana.
With generations of experience, and the quick outgrowth of their innovative farming venture, Homestead Growers, the Spencer family sought their next venture.
Steve and Anita listed the help of Paul Skirvin, a skilled produce manager, and as a team they began to create a line of wholesome foods made from simple ingredients. We now know these products as Local Folks Foods.
Local Folks Foods encompasses the flavor of the rich soil of the Midwest in every jam, sauce, and marinade they create. Each ingredient in every LocalFolks Food product is simply grown, and picked at the peak of season to ensure it’s most robust flavor.
The Spencer family work alongside James Cooper, a sustainable agricultural specialist to ensure the perfect balance of sustainable farming and pristine production of every product.
The Spencer Family utilize their entire heart when it comes to feeding your family with their products. Every tomato in their pasta sauce has been hand picked and inspected. Every herb, berry, and pepper has been carefully nurtured before, during and after harvest.
